A Taste of the Huon (ATOTH) is a community not-for-profit event, organised and supported by volunteers. Celebrating 30+ years as a volunteer-run, two-day festival showcasing local food, drinks, arts, crafts and entertainment — proudly supporting local groups and giving back to our region.

A Taste of the Huon 2026 takes place on Sunday 8 March & Monday 9 March 2026.
Sunday 8th March 2026 – 10.00am – 5.00pm
Monday 9th March 2026 – 10.00am – 4.00pm

Yes — our entertainment timetable will be released closer to the event. We are excited to have two full days of entertainment held across multiple performance spaces at the event.

The 2026 stallholder list will be published on our website and across our social media channels. Our first release of stallholders will be announced in December, with additional stallholders added weekly.

Yes — We love to welcome families at our event, there are dedicated kids’ spaces, activities, and entertainment.

Yes — a festival map will be available online, on-site, and will be published in The Huon News prior to the event.

Full ticket options (general admission day passes and 2-day event passes) will be released at the online ticket launch on Friday 28th November 2025.

Yes – Children 16 years and under receive free entry when accompanied by a paying adult. A valid complimentary child ticket must be obtained for each child and presented at entry.

Entry to the festival, fantastic headline and local entertainment, nominated kids’ activities, and access to all stallholders to experience the best the region has to offer (food/drinks sold separately).

Our tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable (name changes permitted) - For full terms and conditions please refer to our ticketing terms on Humanitix.

Humanitix is our ticketing provider — a not-for-profit platform that directs all profits to children’s education projects.

Same-day re-entry may be permitted. If you need to leave and return, please speak to staff at the gate to request a pass-out stamp. Re-entry is not guaranteed and is provided at staff discretion.

Getting There & Parking

Parking is available in paddocks adjacent to the Event site. Please follow the directions of parking attendants and signage.

Yes — dedicated accessible parking close to the entrance.

Our venue is in a rural area with limited public transport, so carpooling is a great way to get here. Tassie Link offers services within The Huon Valley and from Hobart. Click here for the timetable.

Bike parking will be available near the entry gates.
Food & Drinks

Expect fresh local seafood, Huon Valley meats, farm-fresh vegetarian and vegan dishes, artisan baked goods and sweets, apple and berry-based treats, and plenty of festival favourites. Many stalls will offer hero dishes showcasing the best produce from the Huon, Channel and Bruny regions.

Yes — many stalls provide dietary-friendly choices. Attendees with food allergies or dietary requirements must take personal responsibility for checking ingredients with vendors before purchase.

Yes — featuring local wineries, distillers, cider makers, and breweries.

Outside food and alcohol are not permitted. Water is allowed.

Accessibility

A Taste of the Huon is held outdoors on grass and natural terrain. Whilst every effort is made to ensure the site is accessible, natural ground conditions may pose difficulties for wheelchairs, mobility aids, and those with limited mobility. Weather conditions may further impact ground surfaces.

Dogs

Dogs must not be left in vehicles. Event security and authorities will be notified if an animal is in distress and forcibly removed if necessary.

Commercial photography or filming requires prior written permission from the organisers; drones are not permitted.

Safety & Security

Yes — licensed security across the grounds.

Yes — your bag may be checked at the festival entry.

Visit Lost & Found at the information booth. Please note that event organisers cannot accept responsibility for lost or stolen items.

Yes — a First Aid station will be on-site for the duration of the event. It is located next to the A Taste of the Huon Caravan at the Marguerite Street end of the grounds.

In an emergency, please follow the directions of event staff and security.
Weather & Conditions

A Taste of the Huon will proceed rain or shine. Attendees are advised to come prepared with appropriate clothing, sun protection, and wet weather gear.
If the event is cancelled due to reasons outside of our control, we will notify the public via our website, social media or email (for pre-paid ticket holders) as soon as possible.

There are shaded areas and marquees; attendees should also bring sun protection. We have increased the available shade from the 2025 event.

Yes — the Huon Valley weather changes quickly. We have some sunscreen available, but we recommend that you bring your own.
Sustainability

Yes — waste sorting stations will be provided.

We encourage patrons to bring an empty bottle to use at our water refill water stations. Reusable keepsake cups will be available for purchase on site.
